Community & Political Engagement

Community Engagement

  • Identify community experts, developed a survey, gathered and analyzed results, and created an executive summary on the regional demand for additional outdoor educational recreation space to increase access to outdoor spaces.

  • Attended focus groups, listened, took notes, developed an executive summary, and contributed to the 10-year strategic plan of a local organization.

  • donating a building to an FQHC (a great story!)

  • Develop Community Engagement Plans for those new to the area or who want a reintroduction to decision-makers. Based on your answers to the questions, your new employee will have a list of scheduled appointments with the Top 10 (or Top 20) business, civic, nonprofit, and elected leaders in Spokane County. The plans include a description of why I want you to meet the person, and also will identify potential 'asks' of this person as you cultivate your relationship. (I have an example).
