Clear, actionable communication drives planning, and those plans can be the difference-maker. If an organization doesn’t articulate its own story, employees, customers, or the community will fill in the holes, rightly or wrongly. Don’t let others take control of your narrative!
Organizations can underestimate the power of internal communication to unify employees behind a leader. When an employee hears news about their organization after it hits the public sphere, it undermines instead of fostering trust.
I’ve seen how employee buy-in can be a game-changer, but this doesn’t happen with intention. When employees understand why and how they are contributing to the overall plan, there is almost nothing they won’t support.

For those new to the region or who want a reintroduction to decision-makers, I will curate a list of already-scheduled appointments with the Top 10-20 business, civic, nonprofit, and elected leaders in Spokane County and beyond, depending on your needs.
A Community Engagement Plan is an essential part of any leaders’ onboarding experience! -
Over the years, I've been fortunate to be a trusted member of leadership teams, helping craft meaningful communications for employees, customers, the board, investors, and our community. It has been a rewarding experience to connect and share important messages with such a diverse group.
I’ve communicated with these audiences in various situations—positive, negative, and during crises—covering topics like FDIC actions, mergers and acquisitions (on both sides), earnings reports, divestitures, employee recognition, layoffs (three times), recapitalization, rebranding, community initiatives, community crises, and even the Covid-19 pandemic.
I enjoy creating engaging presentations, policy agendas, and speeches for executives. My portfolio also includes annual and community reports, white papers, self-published books, and thought-provoking opinion editorials. I also have experience developing crisis communication plans and ghostwriting op-eds! Additionally, I like writing lively social media content, impactful press releases, event scripts, magazine articles, resumes, poetry, fiction, and personal journal entries.

A good editor is truly someone with a keen eye for detail, clarity, and the ability to enhance a writer’s voice while preserving the integrity of their message. I excel at identifying inconsistencies, grammatical errors, and awkward phrasing, making sure every piece is polished and professional.
I approach my work with care and respect—I give constructive feedback that helps writers refine their ideas without losing their unique style. By blending precision with kindness, I create a space where writers feel supported and confident to share their ideas.
Furthermore, I understand the importance of having a well-structured and smooth-flowing piece of writing. I take care to organize content in a way that feels natural and ensures every paragraph and sentence clearly contributes to the overall message. My editing process isn't just about fixing mistakes; it's about making the text more engaging and easier to connect with for the intended audience. Whether working on a formal report or a creative piece, I adapt my editing style to suit the unique context and goals of each project.
Ultimately, my dedication to excellence and helping writers produce their best work distinguish me as a reliable and effective editor. I take pride in turning rough drafts into engaging, error-free documents that connect with readers and maintain high communication standards.
